In our Art230 Typography class at BYUI, we were challenged to create a poster for a typeface of our choice, including the creator, some historical information, price, and show the different weights offered. I took on Bembo Book as a challenge- I struggle using serif fonts but wanted to show the range that this particular typeface offered. It can be a beautiful calligraphic font, have sturdy lines in its bold iteration, or be whimsical when used in bright colors and in regular thickness. I grew to love this font and am happy with the typographical hierarchy, negative space, containment within columns in this poster. I also like the beauty of shapes letters can make when combined into a single glyph.
